Class Descriptions Intro to Dance Eight week program that introduces students to the basic fundamentals of dance and choreography, class focuses on the fun of dance as well proper technique. Includes ballet, jazz, tumbling and Hip Hop basics. Lyrical Lyrical is a modern dance form that fuses ballet and jazz dance techniques. Characteristics of lyrical dance style are flowing dance moves that connect through out the dance, conveying the emotions of the lyrics of the music. Heather Carpenter - Studio Director Heather has been dancing for almost 22 years; she spent most of that time on a competitive Team performing at Regional and National competitions as well as internationally. She had the opportunity to perform on a cruise line at the young age of fourteen the same year winning a junior title division at a regional competition. She began teaching dance in her teenage years, and has been unable to give it up. Competitive Teams The competitive team is for students who love to dance, and would like to showcase their talents at local competitions. Auditions for the competitive team are held in August after “Boot Camp”. Each team member is required to attend full camp experience, participate in all competitions, 2010 performances, and all choreography weekends. (See schedule for more information) We have three competitive teams. Teams are broken down by levels of proficiency and all require auditions for placements. 1. Register
Registrations are accepted on a first come, first serve basis and are effective immediately. You may register by phone, online or in person. Payments may be made with a debit or credit card. All tuition is paid through autopay (monthly) or a one time payment at the outset of registration. If the class you request is full, or there is a problem with your registration, you will be notified by phone. All registrations must be accompanied by a payment of the registration fee ($25.00 per student, or $50 per family) plus first month's tuition. (See tuition schedule for details). Ballet, Ballet/Tap, Intro to Dance & Creative Movement: Black leotards, pink tights. Skirts may be worn over leotards for Ballet, Ballet/Tap, and Creative movement. Tuition
Registration Fee: A one-time, non refundable annual fee of $25.00 per student ($50.00 per family) is due at the time of registration. This fee covers the cost of insurance and registration. Inspirations is now enrolling students for our new class- Pure Technique.
The class will be held on Tuesday nights from 6:30-7:15. The first class will be on Tuesday, October 20th.Pure Technique is a high energy class for students ages 9-12, and will focus on the fundamentals, technique, and foundation of all dance.
This class is offered at a new introductory rate of only $40.00. (All girls currently enrolled in another Inspiration class will receive 50% off this class.)
